Duck Duck Jeep FAQ’s

Who are the South Attleboro Lions?- We are a local Chapter of the LIONS Club International Foundation, www.lionsclubs.org. We are a group of volunteers dedicated to helping our local community and globally through hands-on work. 

· If you are a hands-on type of person, handy with a hammer & like to help people in need we need could use you! We are actively seeking volunteers, hopefully soon to be club members, to help continue our work with the ramp projects. A large part of our ramps team is getting older & wants to pass the torch to a younger generation. Please contact us so we can talk about what we do.

What do the South Attleboro Lions Do? Besides our efforts with globally with Lions International locally we raise funds to build ramps all over the Attleboro area and as far as Seekonk for the needy in our area, we give scholarships to AHS & BFHS seniors, we collect glasses and hearing aids, we collect food, raise funds for local food panties and for heat assistance, we bring eye cams to the local schools and so much more.

What are you raising the money for? We are raising money for our local club to continue doing this great work. Just one example is it costs over 20,000 dollars just to service and maintain the ramps we currently have out on loan and the call for ramps* increases monthly. With that comes the need for more inventory and storage. We strive to help as many people as we can with our efforts. Your help will go a long way. Thank you for your support.

What is a derby? A sporting contest open to the general public. Like a Rubber Duck RACE!

How do I win? Buy numbered duck tickets for the race. As the duck(s) cross the finish line prizes are awarded to correspond with the order the ducks (s) cross the finish line.

How much is a duck?  

· OG Ducks- 2/$5 6/$15  8/$20

· 50/50 Ducks- $10

· Souvenir Ducks- $25

How many ducks can I buy? As many as you want! The more the merrier! Grab your friends and start a team or a friendly competition! Our Goal is to sell  1000 OG ducks & 100- 50/50 ducks! 

How do I buy ducks?

IN PERSON- 

· At NA Walmart- Check out Fb or our website for dates. 

· The day of the event until 12:30pm. You will fill out one half of a ticket that corresponds with your duck. We will keep the info half, and you take the numbered ticket half.

ONLINE- 

· Scan the QR code or follow the link and then purchase your ducks through our official Ticketleap page. You will get an automated email from Ticketleap and an email from S*********t.net with your duck ticket numbers. 

· *Treat your DUCK # TICKETS like CASH! We do NOT track tickets. If they are lost, we cannot replace them. 

Please note- WE WILL NOT send you private messages or emails offering to sell you ducks! You can ONLY buy ducks through our website via Ticketleap or in person!

Will there be other things to buy? You will be able to buy ducks for both races until 12:30pm and there will be food vendor, mini $1 ducks, and “How many DUCKS?” guessing game. CASH is preferred but we do have Venmo. Visit Facebook and look for our food vendor announcements.

Should I bring cash? SURE! There is no ATM at the park but there is one close by at the local convenience store. 

· We prefer CASH but we will accept Venmo. 

· Jeep meet is CASH ONLY donation. No Venmo

· We do not know what our food vendors preferences are for forms of payment but CASH is generally an accepted form.

The Duck Races- All the ducks purchased will be placed in buckets and then dumped into the river on the day of the event. The starting line is at the bridge near Lamco. They will float towards the finish line, and volunteer Lions will be waiting at the finish line to help pull out the winners as they come in. We will have spotters in the water to help any ducks that may become tangled or stuck a long way.

What are “Lucky Ducks”? Lucky ducks are OG Ducks randomly chosen to win a prize through out the day. (Kind of like a ducky door prize)

How do I get a “Lucky Ducky”? 

· Purchase OG Duck Race ducks. 

· All OG Duck Race ducks purchased are eligible to be a “Lucky Duck”

· “Lucky Duck” prizes will be awarded fast & furious so be sure to listen to the DJ and keep your OG Duck tickets handy (yellow sheets)

· The DJ will tell you where you can pick up your LUCKY Duck Prize

How do I enter the Duck Fashion Show ? Purchase as many JUMBO Souvenir Ducks as you like! Every Jumbo duck purchased is eligible to enter the fashion show!

· Take it home and decorate it, color it and or dress it up!

· Bring it back the day of the event

· Enter your duck(s) at the Fashion Show table by 10:45am

· Miss Duck Derby & two runners up will be announced at 12 noon. 

How do I vote for my favorite Jumbo Duck in the Duck Fashion Show ? We will have a ballot box up at the Duck Fashion Show table. Please one vote per person. Duck Entry cut off time, last chance vote & winner announcement times are TBD and will be posted no later than the day of the event.

How do I know if I won and where do I get my prize?- Winning numbers will be posted after each race. Prizes can be picked up at the end of the race at the Prize Table. The winning duck numbers will also be posted to our website and on the Facebook event page. 

Prizes will be available for pick-up-

· At the event after the last winning number is posted.

· At the Attleboro Farmers Market, June 27,2026- Visit the South Attleboro Lions Table 

· Or contact us by June 26, 2026 & we can make arrangements for pick up.

· Prizes are awarded randomly & CAN NOT be exchanged once given out. 

· Prizes must be claimed by 1 PM on June 27, 2026 1 PM or be forfeited.

The prizes- We have about 50 prizes ranging in value! Visit the Prize list page for more details. Please show our generous donors & sponsors your support by visiting them often!

· Prizes are sorted into appropriate categories- Kids, Family, Adult. 

· If you have a winning number, you will be able to choose an envelope from one of these categories. Once you have taken an envelope THAT is your prize. To be fair to everyone NO exchanges WILL be made for any reason.

· After you open your envelope, present your prize coupon at the Prize Pick up to receive the actual prize.

· Prizes must be claimed by 1 PM on June 27, 2026 1 PM or be forfeited.

Do I get to pick which prize I want?NO. You will be able to choose from a category- Kids, Family, Adults. But the best way for us to be fair to all who participate prizes will be awarded randomly within those categories & CAN NOT be exchanged once given out. This gives everyone an equal chance to win any of our great prizes!

Is this a rain or shine event? YES! Unless there is severe weather. Watch our Facebook page for the most current updates on the day of the event.

Where can I park? GATRA has graciously allowed us to use their lot for this event. FREE parking* will be available in the GATRA parking lot at the train station. *If you are charged on the date & time period of our event please contact us ASAP.

Are there any bathrooms? This year we will have porta potties!! They have been generously donated by one of our Lions Club members!!!!!!

Do I have to be present to win? No, but we hope you come for the DUCKS, music, food, games, and the JEEPS!! Come and vote for your favorite JEEP! We WILL NOT be contacting winners.  Winning numbers will be posted on our website & on our Facebook event page.

What is a JEEP meet? The jeep meet will be a way for JEEP enthusiasts to show off their jeeps! It is like a car show just for JEEPS. They will come and gather in the lot so all who attend can wander by and admire all the different JEEPS. Be sure to take note of the numbers on their windshield so you can vote for your favorite!

Do I have to be present to win the People’s Choice JEEP Award? YES! Don’t forget to buy some ducks!

Why add a Jeep Meet to a duck race ? Well Jeeps have become very popular in recent years and Ducking Jeeps is a trendy friendship thing that has made jeeps and rubber ducks go together like peanut butter and jelly! It is a very popular past time for Jeepers, so we thought we'd bring the two together for a fun community event and raise some money for our Attleboro LIONS local causes.

How do I vote for my favorite JEEP? We will have a ballot box up at the duck sale table where you can cast your votes. Please see the Duck table for info on when the last vote can be cast and when the winner will be announced.

How do I participate in the JEEP meet?We are asking for a min $5.00 CASH ONLY donation. JEEP meet donations are CASH ONLY so we can get the jeeps parked quickly.All attendees of the event will be able to vote for their favorite Jeep, and we will award a People's Choice Award which includes a limited-edition Giant Rubber Duck trophy and a Woolwax undercoat Sponsored by WWW.Wranglersdirect.com

Do I have to register for the Jeep meet?NO but pre-registration gives you preferred reserved parking. (FRONT row while supplies last!)

Where do I go for the JEEP meet? Please arrive for 10am.  Jeeps will be entering from County St, onto Riverfront Dr. and entering the lot to the left. It will have an enter sign and an attendant. (Look for our map on the FB event page) There will be an attendant collecting donations there. You will receive your number for the People’s choice contest at that time. Please display it on your windshield.

If I am not part of the jeep meet, where can I park? GATRA has graciously allowed us to use their lot for this event. FREE parking* will be available in the GATRA parking lot at the train station. *If you are charged on the date & time of our event please contact us ASAP.

Are you looking for Vendors? 

· Crafters, makers or merchandise- NO

· T-shirts/souvenirs- Possibly. Send us your information and a brief description of your business. We would have an expectation of a fundraising partnership.

· Community & non-profit organizations- YES!! We have FREE spaces on an invitation ONLY basis! You won’t be able to fundraise at the event, but it is a GREAT opportunity to share what you do & love with families. We especially love groups who want to interact with attendees with a craft, an interactive experience or a fun give away those ties into our theme. Send us your information and a brief description of your organizations mission, your goals for attending and if there is anything special you would like to do like a craft or something.

· Food- Possibly. We have a selected group of vendors already lined up, but we may be persuaded to invite a couple more.
